The way you would setup the FatKat rig after receiving it is tying and attaching the leader to your main line with a double uni knot. The double uni knot will act as a bobber stop for the FatKat Biodegradable Bobber. The FatKat rig is called a slip bobber rig meaning the bobber is free to move up and down the leader freely. This is the key to our design as below the bobber is the 3/4 ounce steel weight and the 8/o circle hook.
The bobber does the heavy lifting in keeping your bait off the bottom but the weight ensures that it hovers just above the bottom - keeping it in the strike zone for any hungry catfish. The bobber will move up and down your leader line adjusting automatically depending on changes in depth. This is where the magic happens, this allows the FatKat rig to cover a ton of ground by flowing naturally with the current all while keeping your bait at the bottom of the water column where hungry predators are waiting to ambush any prey that gets carried down the current.
